Install on the TV

On Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, in four steps:

  1. On the TV, open the app store, search for Downloader and install it. It's free.
  2. Allow it to install apps:
    • Fire TV: Settings, My Fire TV, Developer options, Install unknown apps, and turn on Downloader.
    • Google TV: Settings, Apps, Security, Unknown sources, and turn on Downloader.
  3. Open Downloader, type tvbrowser.app/tv with the remote and press Go.
  4. Choose Install, and when it finishes, open TV Browser.

No Developer options on Fire TV? Settings, My Fire TV, About, and press OK on the device name 7 times. A Play Protect message? Choose Details, then Install anyway.

A TV without Android? Try tvbrowser.app in the TV's own web browser. Playback there depends on the browser.

Every download option

Link the TV to your account

The first time it opens, the TV shows a QR code and a 6 digit code. Scan the QR with your phone and approve, or go to the website, open Account, then Link a TV, and type the 6 digits. The code works for 10 minutes.

Approve only a code shown on a TV in front of you. Approving someone else's code lets them watch on your account.

Phone browser and companion apps

You can use TV Browser in your phone’s browser now. Open tvbrowser.app and sign in to watch and manage sources. Playback depends on the browser and source.

On iPhone, use Safari. You can tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen.

The separate Android and iPhone companion apps are coming soon. Using your phone as the TV remote requires a compatible companion app; installation and pairing instructions will appear when it is available. See Get the apps for current availability.

Load a playlist link, step by step

Load your own M3U playlist or a link an authorized provider has supplied for this use. To learn the steps, start with our demo playlist: test patterns, rather than television programs.

  1. Open Sources and choose Add a source.
  2. Choose Playlist link (M3U). You can give the source a name, such as “Browser test”.
  3. In Playlist address, paste the demo link: https://tvbrowser.app/sample/tutorial.m3u.
  4. The XMLTV program guide address is optional. For the demo, use https://tvbrowser.app/sample/guide.xml, or leave the field blank.
  5. Choose Save and load and wait for the load confirmation. Return to Channels and choose the first color-bars item, labeled פסי צבע, to check playback.
  6. To reload a source you already saved, return to Sources and choose Refresh beside it.

For a personal source, replace the demo address with a link you are entitled to use. If your provider supplied an Xtream login, choose Provider login and enter its server, username and password instead of an M3U link. Lists are saved to your account and synchronize to screens signed in to it.

A publicly accessible link does not, by itself, establish permission to use its content. Use your own content, suitable permission or another lawful basis, and do not bypass access restrictions. Read about copyright permissions at the U.S. Copyright Office.

Free trial and billing

How much is it?

7 days free, then US$12.99 a month plus applicable tax. Your subscription pays for the browser and its features: the interface, remote navigation, program guide, search, favorites and source synchronization. Content accessed through the browser belongs to its rights holders. The subscription renews automatically every month until canceled, and the same account works on your TV and supported browsers, including your phone.

Why do I need a card for the trial?

The card is saved at the start so the subscription carries on without a break on day 8. It is not charged during the trial. A free trial is given once per person, by email and by card.

When is the first charge?

On day 8, at the time of day the trial started. A few days before, we email you a reminder with the date and the amount. Cancel before then and you are not charged at all.

What happens if a payment fails?

Watching locks right away on every screen, and we email you. Update your payment method on the Account page under Manage payment or cancel, and once a payment goes through every screen opens again by itself within a few seconds. Stripe tries the charge a few more times, and if it still fails the subscription is canceled.

Where do I see invoices or change my card?

On the Account page, under Manage payment or cancel. There you can change your card, see past payments and cancel.

Can the price change?

Prices can change at any time. If the price changes, we email you before your next charge at the new price, and you can cancel before then.

Cancel

  1. Go to tvbrowser.app and sign in.
  2. On the Account page, choose Manage payment or cancel.
  3. Choose Cancel subscription and confirm. We email you to confirm the cancellation.

You can also cancel by emailing support@coworkrunner.com from your account's address.

Cancel during the trial and you are not charged at all. Cancel after a charge and you keep watching until the end of the month you paid for, with no further charges. We do not refund part of a month unless the law requires it. Your lists and settings stay in your account, and you can subscribe again at any time. Deleting the account completely is at the bottom of the Account page.

Third-party sources and availability

  • Your subscription pays for TV Browser and its features: playback, remote navigation, the guide, search, favorites and managing your sources.
  • Programs and streams belong to their rights holders. A browser subscription does not replace permission or a separate subscription that a source may require.
  • A source may change its address, stop a stream or restrict viewing by country or device. The source list, availability and quality can change.
  • Use only sources you are entitled to access, and do not bypass access controls or rights-holder restrictions. See the Terms of Service.

When something doesn't work

A channel won't play

Try another channel and refresh the source. For a source you added, check the link, login details and your access with the provider. A source may restrict viewing by country or block outside players. If the problem continues, contact us with the channel name and device type.

The TV says there are no channels

Check that your subscription is active and the TV is signed in to the correct account, then refresh the sources. Confirm that your loaded playlist appears under Sources and its address is correct. Try the demo playlist above to check the player. If the problem continues, contact support.

The phone can't find the TV

Remote pairing requires a compatible companion app, which is not yet publicly available. Once it is released, your phone and TV will need to be on the same home Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, use your phone’s browser to watch and manage sources.
